Hi there! My name is Carly Parks, the owner of Sweetpea Doula Co LLC and a birth and postpartum doula serving the Reno/Tahoe area. I have always felt that my core purpose in this world was to help people. I started that journey 10 years ago in veterinary medicine as a licensed veterinary technician, advocating for animals and educating pet parents along the way. After a traumatic 64 hour long birth that ended in a C-section in 2023, I was inspired by my own doula who guided me through the toughest challenge I’ve ever faced. If I can help woman in the most vulnerable stage of their lives, through all the magic and pain that is childbirth and postpartum like my doula did for me, then I have fulfilled my core purpose. I recently just had a successful VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section) with my second baby in Reno with the amazing midwifery team at Renown regional. Due to my extensive knowledge I have gained as a birth worker I was able to have a healing and redemptive birth. I am apart of the Doula Access Program at Renown Regional with the Doula co-op of Nevada. I am a BEST certified doula in birth and postpartum care. I am also CPR certified through the American Red Cross for adults and infants. As your doula, you can count on me to give you the knowledge, support and tools to amplify your voice in birth and beyond!
