Hi there! My name is Carly Parks, the owner of Sweetpea Doula Co LLC and a birth and postpartum doula serving the Reno/Tahoe area. I have always felt that my core purpose in this world was to help people. I started that journey 8 years ago in veterinary medicine as a licensed veterinary technician, advocating for animals and educating pet parents along the way. After a traumatic 64 hour long birth with my son in 2023, I was inspired by my own doula who guided me through the toughest challenge I’ve ever faced. If I can help woman in the most vulnerable stage of their lives, through all the magic and pain that is childbirth and postpartum like my doula did for me, then I have fulfilled my core purpose. I am a BEST certified doula in birth and postpartum care. I am also CPR certified through the American Red Cross for adults and infants. I am constantly learning and staying up to date on evidence based research to provide the best doula care for my clients.
